Delighted at being shortlisted for an award this year for License to Inspire, we attended the ceremony at the London Hilton, Park Lane on Tuesday the 8th. Joined by the fabulous Brian Grimwood and Ben Cox from the Central Illustration Agency we had a fine old time (the pictures say it all!). Sadly we didn't come away with a gong but a great honour to have been able to attend.
We are over the moon at being shortlisted for the Design Week Awards 2011 for License to Inspire, published by Pirum Press. The ceremony takes place at the London Hilton, Park Lane on the 8th March 2011 and we can't wait to be there! Keep everything crossed!!!

We are over the moon at being awarded the Publishing prize at this years Cardiff Design Festival for License to Inspire. The winners were announced by Glenn Tutssel at the Shine a Light party at the Coal Exchange last Friday 15th. The book is starting to receive terrific reviews and is now being stocked at some great places including Tate Modern, The Royal Academy, National Gallery of Wales and at Magma Books in London and Manchester. A huge thank you too to the inspiring Olwen Moseley and Angela Dutton for organising this years event.
Just a reminder that as part of the Cardiff Design Festival we are sponsoring the event at the Pierhead Building in Cardiff Bay on Friday 8th October, 16:00–18:00.
Pirum Press will host the presentation by Ben Cox of the Central Illustration Agency. The CIA is one of the world’s leading agencies representing the best in contemporary illustration. Today, the Agency represents both established artists including Sir Peter Blake and Brian Grimwood and young bloods such as Jonas Bergstrand and Richard Wilkinson.
Ben Cox, Managing Director of the CIA, will tell the story of the agency from its inception in the 1980s up to today. He’ll talk about the work of the Agency’s artists and the numerous projects they have been involved in — a journey taking in some of the most memorable advertising campaigns and evocative book covers of the last few decades.
