The deadline for entries into the Cardiff Design Festival Awards 2011 passed at midnight, and we've entered into the brand and website categories this year. After winning the Brand award in 2009 for Macario Lewin, we've submitted the RGB brand into this years Brand category.
Following a consultation process during which the brand promise, core values, personality and tone of voice were established into a robust brand strategy, a unique brand and brand identity were developed. The new brand reflects the company’s values and aspirations. As such, it’s bold, confident and accessible. The brand reflects the technical capabilities of the company, one that allows for flexibility and infinite creativity. Bringing the brand strapline and marque to life with moving image has created a brand that is fit for purpose and future proof.

We've also entered the RGB website into the website category. Although it formed part of the branding journey, the scale and success of the job meant we really wanted to enter it as a stand alone job.
With over 4,000 products available from 26 manufacturers, clear and well thought out navigation was paramount. We introduced a free-text product search, product filtering and database-driven Product mega-menus to aid the user through the site. The website is fully integrated with RGB’s SAP MSSQL database, allowing new products to upload at all times. A ‘members’ area allows dealers to access dealer-based pricing, resources and special offers. CMS control allows RGB to update sections of their site, including recruitment, podcasts and training courses.
